This notice describes what data arises when you use the MoveJack app and this website. The shortest part matters most: your journey history only leaves your phone when you export or back it up yourself.
1. Who is responsible
TrackJack International Ltd.

2. Your journeys and your location
The app uses your device’s location permission solely to build your own journeys and visits. That data is stored locally on your device. Your journeys are not synced to us: we keep no central copy of your journey history, no backup of it and no database of your journeys in which you appear. For a few features the app sends positions to outside map services: while you drive, the current position about every 8 seconds to Overpass (OpenStreetMap) for the speed limit; after a trip up to 6 route points per check to see whether it followed a railway or tram line, and up to 6 places where the trip stood still, for a bus check; when you open a trip whose speed limits are missing, up to about 150 spread-out route points to Overpass to fill them in; the start and end point of a trip to OpenStreetMap Nominatim for the address; and map tiles and address searches via Mapbox. No name or account goes with them, but together these requests show the route driven. Your trip history as a whole is never uploaded, and MoveJack keeps no central copy of it. Your journey history does not go with it.
Because your journey history is not synced to us and we keep no central copy of it, there is no access or erasure procedure at our end for it: you export or delete your journeys yourself in the app. The flip side is that we cannot restore anything if you lose the device. You can: the app makes a backup file that you keep yourself and restore on a new device. That file is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere you trust. For your records, also take an export regularly.
3. Buying through the App Store or Google Play
Subscriptions are bought through the App Store or Google Play. Payment details are handled there and never reach us. For the subscription status we use RevenueCat, Inc.: it receives the purchase data from the store and links it to a random app ID, without your name, email address or journeys. That is how the app knows whether your subscription is active.
4. Contact form and email
If you write to us we process your name, email address, subject and message in order to answer. The lawful basis is contract or legitimate interests under UK GDPR. We keep those messages for as long as handling the enquiry requires, then delete them.
5. This website
Without your consent this site loads no fonts, scripts or images from third-party servers and measures nothing. If you agree, Google Analytics 4 loads to measure use of the site; the cookies, the processor and how to withdraw are in the cookie policy. There are no advertising cookies. 6. Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Write to info@movejack.com. Note that we can tell you nothing about your journeys, because we do not hold them.
