CO₂ emissions of your journeys
MoveJack shows how much CO₂ your journeys produce. The app calculates this from the distance and your vehicle’s CO₂ value.
How does MoveJack calculate it?
Per journey: the distance in kilometres times the vehicle’s CO₂ value in grams per kilometre. On the home screen you see this month’s emissions in kilograms, and the average in grams per kilometre.
It is a calculation with your vehicle’s value. The app does not measure the actual emissions.
Where does the CO₂ value come from?
For a Dutch number plate, the app fills in the value with data from the RDW, the Dutch vehicle authority. You can also enter it yourself. There is no default value per fuel type.
What does not count?
Journeys without a vehicle, journeys with a vehicle without a CO₂ value, and bike, train, bus and tram journeys: those fixed vehicles have no CO₂ value.
Where do you see it?
On the CO₂ this month tile on the home screen, in your statistics, in the CO₂ (g) column of the Excel report, and when you ask the AI assistant.
