Wiping and deleting data

Your data is on your phone, so you delete it yourself, without filing a request. It is worth knowing what stays after wiping, though.

Deleting a single trip

You delete a single trip in the trip list: swipe it aside and confirm. You delete several trips through Select. The app deletes the trip and its GPS points.

That trip’s driving behavior events and addresses the app created automatically stay until you wipe everything.

Wiping everything

Under Menu › My data you wipe all your trips, GPS points, addresses and visits in one go. That also applies to saved addresses such as home, work and clients. The app asks for confirmation first and then shows that it is working on it.

After that, these stay:

  • your vehicles (to be deleted one at a time on the vehicles screen);
  • your profile with first name and email address (to be deleted separately on the profile screen);
  • your settings and the links with your Bluetooth tags;
  • the location engine’s points and log: up to seven and three days, and the points are cleared after each processed trip;
  • reports and backup files you made earlier.

Reports and backup files

Reports are files on your phone under My reports, and you delete them there one at a time. You do not delete a backup file in the app: on Android it is in the Documents folder, on iPhone it disappears when you delete the app.

Deleting the app

  • On iPhone everything the app kept disappears, including reports and backup files.
  • On Android your trips disappear from your phone, but reports and backup files stay in the Documents folder.

Do you have a subscription? You cancel it in the App Store or Google Play; deleting the app does not stop it.

No deletion request needed

A deletion request is not needed: your trip history is not held by us. What you shared with someone earlier stays with that recipient.

Technical

Wiping is an ordinary deletion from the app’s database. Whether the freed space on your phone is overwritten right away, we have not established.
