Hours and insights
Working hours and visits
Your hours follow from your visits: arrival, departure and time on site. MoveJack takes those visits from your journeys, without you keeping a second list.
What is a visit?
Every journey with a known end address produces a visit. The arrival is the end of that journey, the departure is the start of your next journey, and the duration is the time in between. As long as there is no next journey yet, the visit keeps running.
A visit is therefore a calculation from your journeys. The app does not store visits separately.
Hours per client
If you give an address the type Client, you can view visits per client. In Visits you search by address, or choose a client.
- The Hours claim tile on the home screen shows this month’s visit hours at clients, times your hourly rate.
- The Client declaration puts journeys, travel time and time on site together, with amounts. See claiming.
You set your hourly rates under Menu › Driver › Rates: an hourly rate for time on site and an hourly rate for time on the road. They are set to zero by default.
Travel time and time on site
Travel time is the duration of your journeys. Time on site is the duration of your visits. In the client declaration they are listed separately, each with its own rate.
Adjusting
Because visits come from journeys, you adjust them through your journeys and addresses. A visit itself has no edit screen.
- Merging two journeys with a short stop between them means that stop is no longer a visit.
- Splitting a journey turns the split point into a new visit.
- Giving an address a name and type changes what the visit is called and whether it belongs to a client.
