Reports and records
Claiming and claimed journeys
MoveJack keeps track of which journeys you have already claimed, and creates a declaration per client with mileage, travel time and time on site.
Marking journeys as claimed
For a business or commute journey, you turn Claimed on or off in the journey details. You mark several journeys at once through Select › Mark as claimed; the app skips private journeys and journeys already claimed.
The To claim filter in the journey overview shows the business and commute journeys you have not yet marked as claimed.
Rates
Under Menu › Driver › Rates you set your mileage rate, your hourly rate and your hourly rate for driving. A vehicle can have its own mileage rate.
For a new vehicle a mileage rate is already filled in; that is not necessarily the rate that applies to you. The hourly rates are set to zero. Check them and adjust them.
The client declaration
On the Export tab, choose a client under Per. The declaration contains:
- the journeys to and from that client, with date, from and to, distance, travel time and the amounts for them;
- the visits to that client, with arrival, departure and duration;
- the time on site with amount, and the total.
A journey counts for the client if it starts or ends at that client’s address.
Known in version 2.0.48: for visits after an automatically recorded journey, arrival and departure in the declaration are in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time): in the UK one hour behind your own clock in summer, and the same as your clock in winter.
On the home screen
The Mileage claim tile shows your business and commute mileage for this month times your mileage rate. The Hours claim tile does the same for your visit hours at clients.
Known in version 2.0.48: a commute journey recognised automatically counts twice in the Mileage claim tile, and a business journey you added yourself does not count.
